The current geo-political tensions between Russia and the USA

The current geo-political tensions between Russia and the USA are having an impact in the aerospace, defense and particularly the Space industry (given USA’s dependence on Russian spacecraft to go to and form the ISS until late 2017).
The winners are European Union  and USA aerospace, space and defense companies which are seeing an increased level of M&A, Strategic Partnership and business development in all fronts of the commerce chain.
Please contact me Oscar Garcia for further insights and details in this evolving situation which I believe will have a decade long implication. www.interflightglobal.com

InterFlight Global Launches New ReDesigned Website

InterFlight Global has launched a completely new website, redesigned by the graphics team at IFG.  The new look of the website was a much needed update for the consulting/advisory/brokerage business.

www.interflightglobal.com

Going into the new year 2014, IFG wants to give itself a fresh appearance to attract new clients, interest, and talk about their successful company.  The new website has clearly defined sections, making it easier for clients and potential clients to use the site, and get involved with it.  InterFlight Global wants to stand out in the aviation industry.  They certainly stand out when you talk to anyone from their team, especially the company's chairman, Oscar Garcia.  InterFlight Global is the consulting, advisory, brokerage, and finance company with small company values and personal attention, and with large corporation methods and tactics to secure business deals and push projects forward.

InterFlight Global has put the new website up for public view for the next month to take suggestions, and comments to make this site the best it can be.

Please go to our new site at:  www.interflightglobal.com   and lend us your feedback.

IFG Leads Florida Pathfinder Flights Project to Promote for Space Tourism

InterFlight Global (IFG) has partnered with Starfighters Aerospace at Kennedy Space Center (KSC)  to lead, design, develop and conduct a Space Tourism Point-to-Point Pathfinder set of flight missions using Starfighters' supersonic F-104 jet aircraft. IFG intends to promote, develop, enhance and position Florida as the world’s leading Space Tourism hub.

IFG’s project is fundamentally an economic and tourism development enhancer through the use of Suborbital proxy flights. In addition to economic and business development gains to the State, the project will deliver meaningful suborbital transportation, tourism and experimental science and technologies. The missions will also mimic the flight profiles of multiple space tourism vehicles at multiple Florida spaceports, including NASA KSC, Cecil Field in Jacksonville, and Space Coast Regional Airport.

"The project will involve economic and tourism development entities, regulatory agencies, spaceport operators and spaceflight companies in a comprehensive exercise to identify, understand and resolve infrastructure, touristic-visitors processes, operational and regulatory challenges that face the suborbital space tourism industry," said IFG Chairman,  Oscar S. Garcia, who is also a USDOT FAA-AST Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee (COMSTAC) full member and working group participant. "These challenges exist in every state, but with this project only Florida will have the confidence to say that it has taken the necessary steps to overcome them and create a Space Tourism highway poised for growth in the near and long term future."

Using funds provided to Space Florida for "space tourism marketing", the project would allow the state and its spaceports to market themselves as " wide open for business." In addition to space tourism, the project would also promote the development of future space transportation  point-to-point industries and activities,  for high value cargo like transplant organs, and test future approaches for space traffic management. Oscar S. Garcia is also Co-Chairman and interim Managing Director of Suborbital transportation leading group Fast Forward (www.fastforwardproject.com )

Business and Art
The Art of Air & Space Flight
By: Oscar S. Garcia
For most of us our day to day aerospace and aviation business activities revolve around
regulatory compliance, safety-security and the overarching financial viability dimensions. No
matter what our link is in the “flight” commerce chain, we must be practical and reasonable.
Oftentimes, we have an idea, a breakthrough thought, a creative vision, sparking excitement
and energy; it could be a radical airplane design, an innovative business model, or a possible
way to defy gravity altogether… More often than not, if not always, we dismiss the moment as
impractical or simply not feasible, technically or financially.
What if we gave these inspirational moments a chance? What if we sketched our thoughts in a
napkin? We could write a few words to tell the world about them or assemble some
photographs, assemble a scale model or cut and paste some clippings as a concept collage.
Some very special people, we call them flight inspired artists, do this all the time. In fact,
contemporary artists inspired by flight and movement through space (air or vacuum),
throughout history have had the freedom and courage to materialize their inspiration,
transcending the technical, business and other rules of the game that most of us faithfully
follow day in and day out.
Leonardo Da Vinci certainly did so in 1485, when he sketched and sculpted parachute,
helicopter and gliders like objects, which were a practical reality much later. Interestingly,
NASA frequently asks artists and art students, not salaried engineers; to imagine and draw
how they think humans will we fly and move across space 500 years from now.
As Art Basel lands in Miami next week, keep an eye out for inspired expressions of what air
and space flight futures could be.
